I’ve previously mentioned that Twitter is a great tool for staying in touch with Mobile industry professionals. I follow many people in the mobile industry in Australia and around the world, and stay up to date with what they’re doing on a day to day basis.
I grabbed these screenshots a few months ago, from a Connex mobile ad campaign run by Sensis MediaSmart. This campaign is not live anymore but I thought I’d put the screenshots up as an example of how a mobile ad campaign can work.
SMSPup has recently launched a new mobile service that they claim to be Australia’s first advertising subsidised mobile phone service.
Well it’s been far too long between posts. I have to apologise and it’s absolutely time to catch up! The good news is that 48 people have signed up to the Facebook group for Mobile Advertising in Australia.
I’m hoping to use this blog as a starting point to create a community around the Mobile Advertising industry in Australia. I plan to leave the ‘industry association’ stuff to the experts but I think we can all benefit from an ongoing conversation in a more informal way.
There’s been a bit of talk lately about how we can work together to build the Mobile Advertising industry in Australia. I think there is definitely a place for formal Industry Associations, but i also believe there is much that can be achieved with ‘informal’ associations.
The third day had a smaller group of participants locked into an intensive few hours focusing on Mobile Advertising. The great thing about this day was that every speaker was well informed and engaging, with some involvement in Mobile Advertising locally.
